First time there. I had the Thai chicken pieces. Very nicely done. Also had the jalapeno poppers. Very nice. My business partner had the fish and chips. He said that they were great. Nice choice.

Call it what it is. The thing that turns me off about so many gourmet burger places is the incessant use of buzzwords that have no place at a burger joint. You ain’t worth a dime just because you “hand tossed” something haha. In comes the Burger Mechanic. Was walking that strip of MacCleod after shopping and was curious to see what they’re about. Greeted by a very friendly team behind the counter. I asked a handful of questions and landed on the triple beef and double cheeseburger. I don’t care if it has a description. It has a photo on the wall that sold me in a second. They brought me a cup of soup while I waited which on its own was great. The burger came.. and went. It was perfect. There is a distinct feel of heart and soul in food. You can tell when it’s made by someone with some feeling and not just assembled for Instagram. It’s solid. I want more. I’ll get more just as soon as I can. Until someone knocks them out of top spot, this is the best burger in Calgary in my opinion. Come try one and let it speak for itself. Thank you!

Seriously by the seventh Heaven , it's the best fish n chips we have had in Calgary The portion the authenticity and taste of real fish, instead of Pollock like Joey's uses Thank you for making the experience special In a busy off the McLeod trail going north , it's a comfort independent place to go and get home style food . Burgers are amazing too Strapping lads can guzzle the triple burger like Macy on a pole

Went there last week during lunch time. The two ladies at the front were very kind and welcoming. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and vibe. Seating was spaced out and very comfortable. Overall, it looked very clean and food was prepared in a timely manner. The taste was wonderful, not too greasy. Price was reasonable and menu options had a variety of burger picks. I especially liked the fries, very flavorful.

Wandered in here by chance, how lucky! A small storefront right off McLeod northbound. A generous portion of fish (cod) and chips were perfectly cooked - crispy! Service was friendly. Definitely coming back.

We came to eat before a movie and oooh what a great find! The haddock and chips full size pieces, not the little aesthetic cubes you get accustomed to seeing. The fish fries so crispy and tender, it was delicious. We also had some lemon butter chicken soup I could eat a pot of that. Love this place, the ladies who took care of us were really lovely too, very sweet and kind when they checked in on how we were doing. 10/10, very much recommend

Excellent fish and chips! The fish is is well-seasoned and the crisp in the fries is just right. Generous portions and service is homey. Will definitely be back!

Just happened to drop by and found this place to be quite pleasing! I was greeted immediately by the friendly staffs at the front, who were very kind and patient with me while I was being super indecisive about my order. The inside was clean, with well-spaced tables and comfy chairs. I ended up getting the fish and chips to go. While I was waiting, they gave me some chicken soup to try... which I loved so I had to add one to my order Really appreciated that they fried everything fresh after I ordered, instead of serving pre-fried, soggy pieces. When I got home and opened the box, everything was still hot and crispy. As for the food: The batter was thin (which I like, though some might not), and the fish was soft and meaty. However, I'm a bit conflicted about the fries... I asked for the peri-peri fries instead of regular ones, expecting some spicy kicks, but there were no visible spices and they tasted nearly identical to regular fries from other places. Maybe the seasoning was light today? I’ll definitely go and try their burgers next time I’m in the area!!
